WIKI BREAKUP CALLS FOR EBAY REVENGE:[SOUTH PINELLAS Edition] St. Petersburg Times. St. Petersburg, Fl, Mar 5, 2008. p. 2B RACHEL MARSDEN VS JIMMY JEWBO DONAL WALES, WIKIPEDOIDIOTS' KING, LOL! It's war of the Web roses between St. Petersburg's Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia, and his ex-girlfriend, Rachel Marsden. She claims he dumped her via his Wikipedia page. So, natch, she appears to be selling his junk on eBay for revenge. "It was such a classy move," she writes in the ad, "that I was inspired to do something equally classy myself, so I'm selling a couple of items of clothing he left behind. ... Both of these items have been washed, twice, with Tide extra-strength liquid detergent. Otherwise, they would not be in salable condition. I took them out of GitMo style isolation from a plastic bag in my closet (where they were placed to prevent the ongoing terrorism of my olfactory senses) and washed them out for the purposes of this auction." Ouch. So who is Marsden? The Vancouver, British Columbia, native was a onetime pundit for the Fox News Channel. She was fired from the show Red Eye With Greg Gutfeld last year. Her column for the Sun chain of newspapers was also discontinued. Marsden has battled Wikipedia over references to her legal troubles. In 2004, she was given a conditional discharge with one year's probation for criminally harassing a Vancouver radio host after their breakup. And in the late 1990s, she accused a college swim coach of sexual harassment. The coach said she stalked him, but his allegations were never proven. Wales' Wikipedia page said only this about Marsden: "Wales had a brief relationship with Canadian journalist Rachel Marsden." Late Tuesday, bids totaled more than $3,000 on the eBay auctions. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/11/25/jimmy_wales_chrome_extension/
